WCAMS Library Policies

1. You must be a WCAMS member in good standing in order to borrow music. If you are a member, for a limited time we will send you the music for free (provided that costs are not too high, as judged by the librarian (for example, we won't ship three full orchestra pieces to Australia!). The borrower must pay for return postage (or other means of transportation).
2. Each member may withdraw three items from the library.
3. Loan period: 2 calendar months. Extensions may be permitted; however, a request must be made to the librarian in case somebody else reserved the music. If no reservation request has been received one week before the due date, the materials will be renewed for an extra two months.
4. Requests for music or extensions can be made by filling out the form at http://www.wcams.com/library/order.html or emailing lib@wcams.com. If the use of email is not possible, you may telephone 604-299-5430, but hours are limited. Each music request must include
   • the WCAMS member's name
   • the member's shipping address
   • the member's email address
   • the catalogue number of the piece(s) they wish to borrow.
5. Music will be shipped in a padded envelope at no cost to the borrower. The package will include a return address label. The borrower may use this label to return the music in the original padded envelope at his or her own cost.
6. Responsibilities of the borrower:
   • The music must be in the hands of the librarian on or before the due date.
   • All parts of the music must be returned.
   • Music must be returned in good order; no materials are to be rendered unusable due to being torn, mutilated, or indelibly marked.
   • If the music must be marked, please use a pencil lightly, no ink!
7. Borrowing privileges may be suspended for any member who, in the judgment of the WCAMS Board of Directors, abuses them.
